How to delete pages from a PDF for free (no upload)

Blank last pages, a cover you do not need, or confidential pages you must not share: removing pages is quick with Remove pages from PDF.

Steps

  1. Add your PDF.
  2. In Pages to remove, type page numbers or ranges, for example 2, 5-7, 10.
  3. Download the trimmed PDF.

Your original file is not changed; you get a new file with the pages gone.

Tips

  • Count from the PDF, not the printed number. The tool uses the position of the page in the file (first page = 1), not the number printed on the page. A cover plus a preface can make printed page 1 sit at position 4.
  • Removing many pages? It is often easier to say what you want to keep. Use Extract PDF pages and type the pages to keep.
  • Blank pages from scans: Delete blank pages finds them automatically.
  • Reorder at the same time? Organize PDF shows thumbnails so you can delete visually.

Important: removing pages is not redaction

If a PDF contains sensitive information on a page you removed, the new file will not contain it. But if you need to hide a part of a page, covering it with a box is not secure. Remove the whole page or regenerate the document without that content.

See the page ranges cheat sheet for every range format.
