How to merge PDF files online without uploading them

Merging PDFs is one of the most common document chores: a resume plus certificates, scanned pages that arrived as separate files, or invoices for one month. With Merge PDF it happens inside your browser, so the files never leave your computer or phone.

Steps

  1. Open Merge PDF and drop in two or more PDF files (or use the file picker).
  2. Set the order. Drag files up and down, or use the arrows. The final PDF follows the list from top to bottom.
  3. Press Merge and download the combined file.

Tips for a clean result

  • Name files so they sort naturally (01-cover.pdf, 02-report.pdf) before adding them; it saves dragging.
  • Check page sizes. If one file is A4 and another is Letter, the merged document keeps each page at its own size. If you want a uniform size afterwards, run the result through Resize PDF page size.
  • Need only some pages from a file? Trim it first with Extract PDF pages so you do not merge pages you will delete later.
  • Want to fix the order afterwards? Open the merged file in Organize PDF and drag individual pages around.
  • Add numbers last. Merge first, then use Add page numbers so the numbering runs across the whole document.

When it will not work

Password-protected files cannot be merged until they are unlocked. If you own the file, use Unlock PDF first. Very large files (hundreds of megabytes) depend on your device memory, since everything happens locally; if the tab struggles, merge in smaller groups.

Why local matters

Many online mergers upload your files to a server. For contracts, ID proofs or medical reports that is a real risk. You can confirm that this tool sends nothing by following how to verify a tool never uploads your files.
